Many of you might have noticed that people who have higher metabolism are slimmer and have higher possibility of weight loss. But why is that? How does metabolism play role in weight loss?
Metabolism is the rate at which your body uses energy, or, burns calories. Your resting metabolism measures the number of calories required to keep your body functioning.
Energy metabolism is the body's process of breaking down nutrients and converting them to energy.
Metabolism works in a manner that the higher the metabolism rate of the body, the higher it burns calories and convert it into energy. This means that the body burns the food that you consumed more efficiently thereby less fat stored in the body.
To keep your metabolism high, you should maintain the balance of your physical activity and the food you eat. By paying attention also to the foods that you consume and its corresponding calories, you will also monitor if you have supplied the right amount of calories needed by your body.
